The flagship Item open-baffle speaker expresses without compromise everything that makes such speakers distinctively enjoyable. 

Resolution is elite-level, courtesy of multi-driver planar arrays for midrange and treble. Imaging is broad but constrained within a listening window that minimises ceiling and floor reflections.

It is a true dipole at all frequencies. It is extremely phase-coherent and has near-perfectly flat impedance.

Above room frequencies all its drivers are air-gapped for complete vibration isolation.

It is a four-way design with a separate open-baffle subwoofer, crucially enabling the lowest frequency generators to be located with reference to the room, while allowing the upper frequency generators to be position to create a listening triangle. Any speaker that cannot be split in this way is profoundly compromised. Three subwoofer designs are available: one suitable for installation in-wall or in an engineered ‘infinite’ baffle. All are tied together with programmable DSP, delays and room correction.
